The HOKA Mach is a lightweight and lively running shoe that can serve as both a racing shoe and a daily trainer.
While the Mach is marketed as an everyday trainer, improvements to the design have added to this shoe's versatility and make it perfectly at home during races.
A work-in-progress over the years, the Mach is really becoming something special. Each version has improved upon the previous one, but each had its own weaknesses. Stiffness, chaffing, and a lack of breathability were problems that have all been more or less solved in newer versions.
Most recently, the Mach's ProFly+ midsole has been upgraded with rubberized foam without adding weight. The upper material is improved in every way and meets your ankle with a new lay-flat tongue that will allow you to lock yourself in without discomfort. Moving backwards, the heel collar provides plenty of support so that you can make the most of the zippiness that this shoe offers. And that's good, because the Meta Rocker layout works brilliantly with the improved insole so that transitions are smooth and quick.
If you've been a HOKA hold-out, we recommend trying out the Mach. You won't regret it!
